The Job Duties of an Assistant Maintenance Engineer would be as follows:
Job Description
- Upholds H3SEQ procedures when performing maintenance activities planning. and supports the H3SEQ department to ensure H3SEQ compliance at all times during the maintenance activities.
- Able to do PLC Program, SCADA graphics Modification, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance for the Control System
- Able to modify the program using the Ladder Diagram and using Functional Block, able to do modification in the existing graphics and download the new graphics.
- Familiar with ABB, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Hollysys PLC
- Receives Work Request via CMMS to execute E&I maintenance activities to be performed
- Dismantles/Troubleshoots electrical machinery and instrument components, and replaces defective electrical and instrument parts
- Installs and maintains various types of motors, motor control systems, control valves, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, transformers, etc.
- Installs and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacements
- Interprets Electrical single line drawings, schematics and perform work by these or verbal instructions provided by qualified person
- Lays out assembles, installs, tests repair, and adjusts electrical & instrument fixtures, apparatus, equipment wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit
- Mounts motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuits according to diagram specification
- Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments
- Troubleshoots and repairs electric controls, control valves and work Industrial System Engineer on all PLC and DCS controls
- Participate in Project related activities and coordinate E&I related works with appointed contractors
- Performs preventive maintenance on E&I equipment and instruments parts
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirement
- Education : Minimum ITE – NITEC Electrical Technology or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Expertise/Skill :
- Design, install, repair maintain, operate, inspect and test electrical or supply installations
- Knowledge of installation and maintaining of electrical switchboards
- Maintenance electrical and instrument installations in compliance with relevant codes of practice for electrical and instrument installations, and other related statutory requirements
- Produce electrical installation layout and single-line diagrams
- Install and maintain electrical rotating machines, associated control circuits and equipment
- Install and maintain data wiring systems
- Knowledge of Lubricant’s related equipments will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of Project Management will be also an added advantage
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
Knowledge : Good computer literacy. Ability to think out of the box, to come out with good initiative to assist maintenance team to achieve good engineering solution and increase reliability of plant equipments.
