Brand Manager

Coty Operations Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.

ROLE AND DEPARTMENT

We’re looking for a Brand Manager to join the Singapore Luxury Team.

This is a replacement role, and a visible one. The Brand Manager will be responsible not only for the commercial success of the business unit under his/her care, but also the acceleration of COTY’s ambitions through impactful marketing strategies and impeccable executions.

This role reports into the Head of Marketing for Singapore.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Distribution and Pricing Strategy

· Identify white spaces in the market and analyze channel distribution for new door openings and brand expansion.

· Co-lead all permanent merchandising requests with Visual Merchandising Team to put forth to Global Teams for Fashion House approval.

· Work closely with Regional/Global Pricing Teams on the pricing strategy for all brands in the business unit to ensure we adhere to Commercial Excellence guidelines, bench reasonably against competitors and maintain internal pricing equity.

· Own and maintain master pricing file.


A&CP Budgeting and P&L Management

· Plan and own A&CP budgets for all brands to ensure strong ROI and profitability.

· Effective management of main budget lines for Working Media, PR, Events and Non-Sellable Items, etc. to ensure all launches and repushes are well supported with no overspending.

· Co-own P&L by brand with Commercial Team, including active monitoring of sell-out, sell-in, gross-to-net and product contribution.


Market Planning and Forecasting

· Work on and submit all new order books for both sellable and non-sellable items with clear ambitions for launch priorities, backed with strong sell-in and sell-out data for Management’s validation.

· Perform close monitoring of forecasting for new marketing launches, key pillar franchises and baselines according to business needs.

· Work with Commercial stakeholders to realize net revenue ambitions, adjust/re-phase forecasts when required and track performances of top sellers and key pillar franchises.

· Manage inventory and make plans as required for discontinuations and Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) reduction.


360° Brand Marketing, Working Media and PR

· Make strategic decisions around big bets and key priorities, with an aim to do “fewer, but bigger and better”, showcasing Singapore as the market with best-in-class practices, executions and success.

· Develop short to long-term brand building plans aimed at driving sell-out and productivity to increase market share and improve both brand and product rankings.

· Develop strong, 360° integrated marketing campaigns encompassing cohesive touchpoints across Media, PR, Communications, Events, Social, Ecommerce and CRM to achieve brand desirability and build up buzz.

· Partner COTY-approved agencies to develop clear working media strategies to maximize ROAS; develop long-tail PR plans and create unique/exclusive influencer tribes for consistent brand awareness.

· Consistent efforts to track and improve Marketing KPIs and ROIs.


Trade Marketing and Events

· Plan and execute BTL promotions across all channels (Free-Standing Stores, Department Stores, Perfumeries and Ecommerce Platforms) to support omni-excellence.

· Develop exclusive offerings and mechanics tailored to various channels and end-consumers.

· Adopting the same 360° approach in the planning and execution of animations/podiums for major launches and repushes.

· Support the Commercial Team with monthly sales planning and omni-channel activations aimed at stretching results, and/or mitigating risks.

· Monitor MTD and YTD sell-out by brand/pillar franchise closely and be agile to lend support to plug the gaps where needed.

· Co-own brand-, category- and BA-productivity with the Commercial Team.


Reporting and Others

· Submit monthly and quarterly reporting per Global requirements, fulfilling ad-hoc reporting requests when required.

· Provide valuable insights to local, regional and global teams on brand and competitor performance, using them to enhance our own performance and results.


We’d love to see candidates who have:

· 8 to 10 years of Brand Management experience in Luxury, preferably Beauty.

· Proven track record in brand-building and category acceleration.

· A dynamic and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong business acumen.

· A strategic thinker with experience in managing a multi-brand portfolio and an omni-channel business, coupled with a strong understanding of the retail drumbeat and market landscape in Singapore.

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and perform under pressure.

· Possess strong analytical skills and is attuned with performance marketing.

· Proactive, agile and does not gloss over details.

· A team player, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills; highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
