JOB DESCRIPTION
A Research Officer position is available immediately in Dr. Giulia Adriani Lab at the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN). GA Lab is looking for a highly motivated candidate to work on human vascularized microtumour models to develop novel immunotherapy approaches.
The selected candidate will be responsible for performing the experimental research work with microfluidic-based 3D culture assays. The experimental work will include isolation, culture, and differentiation of human immune cells, maintenance of primary cell lines, and cellular characterization by different techniques such as flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, confocal imaging, scRNA-Seq, and digital spatial profiling.
Duties will also include maintaining the safety in the lab, creating lab risk assessments, maintaining lab inventories, and perform lab administrative operations such as procurements.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Degree in Biological Science and Life Science disciplines or equivalent
- Relevant experience in cell culture (3D culture preferred) and molecular biology techniques
- Experience with cell culture within microfluidic devices will be valued
- Experience with human blood/tissue sample processing and immune cell isolation
- Experience with flow cytometry, RNA-seq and bioinformatics will be valued
- Experience with confocal microscopy and image/data analysis
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willing to learn new experimental procedures and troubleshoot assays. Independent in performing tasks once trained on the procedures
- Precise, focused and goal-oriented
- Committed and available to work flexible hours
