Working in the engineering team, the work assignments are designated to familiarize the incumbent with the Company’s business, policies, methods, and procedures.
Job Description:
1. Performs engineering reviews of plans of specific marine structures, as assigned, for compliance with applicable Rules, Regulations and contract commitments.
2. Performs limited analysis related to specific marine structures.
3. Provides basic technical guidance to field operations and other technical groups.
4. Prepares written, technically accurate and timely responses to queries from clients or other technical groups.
5. Drafts technically accurate reports detailing the results of various studies performed for review by a senior Engineer.
6. Prepares accurate and timely weekly reports and requests for invoices on all work performed.
7. Participates in related training seminars.
8. Undergoes ABS Quality System training and applies the TQM principle in the work environment.
9. Communicates the status of the current workload to all appropriate members of the organization’s team to ensure the needs of the clients will be met.
Requirements:
1. A diploma or recognized equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline. Diploma holders with civil, mechanical, electrical, marine or digital are welcome to apply.
2. The ability to identify, analyze and propose solutions to problems.
3. Ability to communicate, orally and in writing.
4. Ability to analyze problems and propose solutions.
