The Role Responsibilities

Product and asset class owner for Equities and its online trading platform in country. Responsibilities include driving of the country product strategy and proposition to meet revenue targets, ensuring for a differentiated trading platform, related service and project deliveries, oversight of governance and processes matters

Drive business performance

  • To drive Equities (Online Trading) revenue and AUM growth to meet business targets, including new business and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide regular and timely product/platform updates to clients and frontline teams (RMs / call-center) where required, including corporate action matters.
  • Work closely with cross functional counterparts across products, from governance, process, L&C, operations and technology to ensure for a robust platform.
  • To be responsible for the innovation and delivery of new products, platform capabilities and campaign/promotion ideas.
  • Utilise analytics to support key business decisions with value added strategic and tactical analytics, together with ongoing monitoring of the business line and identify areas of opportunities and growth.
  • To support and partner with operations to ensure the smooth flow of the trading processes with minimal errors, including platform settlement and corporate action matters
  • Collaborate with various internal Stakeholders (Group/country CMPS, Operations, Client Experience, Call-center, Investment Advisory and Strategy, Asset Allocation teams and Investment Advisors, Wealth Proposition, Marketing) to provide quality trading platform.
  • Oversee the timely and on-time delivery of strategic projects and platform enhancements, with strong vendor and technology project team management.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Assist the team to ensure that Equities product governance matters are kept up to date and in accordance to internal and external governance standards and regulatory requirements, including Country Addendum (CAs) for the product line.
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate processes are in compliance with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those of Compliance, Technology and Operations, Finance.
  • To monitor and grow the portfolio for Equities in a stable and diversified manner.
  • To develop enhanced platform tools and capabilities, ensure training and improve systems to ensure the strong and stable growth of the equities product line.
  • Partner with Operations and technology teams to ensure that processes on trading, settlements and corporate actions activities are robust to ensure that client experience is maintained.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory obligations and requirements in-country and expectations relevant to the role.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Preferably a graduate degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial markets and/or products.
  • Strong Financial & Data analysis skills.
  • Experience in Retail or Consumer Banking segment with global markets knowledge is preferred.
  • Familiarity with current Fintech and investment capabilities will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and engage senior management in the Bank and collaborate across teams to drive business objectives and implement the team’s long-term strategy.
  • Driven and results-oriented and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive and lead regulatory change discussions which require the team’s engagement. Participate in Audits, manage regulatory incidents and communications on product and drive the process, product and system changes to reduce regulatory breaches.
