Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor vessel schedule and ensure it runs as planned and track and review any changes.
- Manage service (and vessel) schedules as well as manage any and update contingencies which are planned in advance through discussion with stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal stakeholder to ensure system is updated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate and perform negotiation slot partners (schedule, accident etc.) to meet internal requirements.
- Manage non-critical accidents through timely incident reporting.
- Gather port & berth information on a regular basis.
- Manage vessel bunker consumption.
- Assist to verify slot cost settlement.
- Distribute general sailing instruction promptly and completely prior to vessel’s commencement in service.
- Provide assistance to GM/DGM as required.
- Lead in projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in transportation and logistics or equivalent
- At least 4 – 5 years of relevant experience
- Good communication and negotiation skills in order to balance interest of various parties
- Strong leadership ability to guide junior team members
- Strong organization and coordination skills
- Able to work independently with sense of urgency
- Liner shipping operations experience advantageous
