Relationship Manager (Insurance)

Airswift is currently helping one of its Singapore-based clients for the important position of Relationship Manager to be placed within an international insurance brokerage firm.


Our client has a strong private advisory practice focusing on personal insurance solutions including medical, life and general insurance. They are currently looking for an entrepreneurial Relationship Manager who will be tasked with building and maintaining a portfolio of private clients. The Relationship Manager will develop new relationships and new clients among the high-net-worth population of Singapore’s expat population.


Candidates can either have existing insurance experience, but mindset is more important. If a candidate has similar relationship-building experience from a different industry and the right attitude, then the company will be prepared to provide relevant training and licenses.


Key Areas of Responsibility & Focus

  • Identify, acquire and manage new clients.
  • Implement a relevant new business acquisition strategy targeting high-net-worth individuals.
  • Provide accurate needs analysis and insurance advisory to new clients.
  • Match the client’s needs with required insurance products.
  • Disseminate product information to clients in a clear, informative and helpful manner sourcing for quotation.
  • Prepare and present quotes to prospects, converting them into clients.

About You

  • You are an ambitious person who is keen to jump in and commit to a new challenge in a growing company.
  • You are a self-driven individual with good social skills and an appetite for client relationships.
  • You are comfortable networking and meeting new people.
  • You have outstanding presentation & communication skills and are a good listener.
  • You are good at planning ahead as well as being hands-on.
  • You are goal-oriented and feel excited working with targets and KPIs.
  • You understand the need to provide round-the-clock support to demanding clients and as such, are ready to be flexible in working outside of regular office hours.

Experience in the following areas would be a bonus:

  • Experience in a client acquisition or business development role.
  • Experience in Medical Insurance.
  • Fluency in Chinese is strongly preferred.
