Reporting to the Assistant Vice President in the Finance department, this role is responsible for Management Information Systems (MIS) and supporting the Regional Financial Reporting & Planning function.
Responsibilities
Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Provide support and maintenance to existing MIS and/or new systems (if any)
- Understand stakeholders’ issues and provide appropriate technical solutions
- Provide support and assistance to stakeholders in issue troubleshooting and resolution
- Develop and update MIS documentation to allow for smooth operations and easy system maintenance, ensuring its relevance
- Analyse business information to identify process improvements for increasing business efficiency and effectiveness
- Automation of recurring reports and schedules
- Provide recommendations to update current MIS to improve reporting efficiency and consistency
- Develop MIS for Business Units (BUs) management and internal communication
Regional Financial Reporting & Planning
- Collect, validate, upload, generate, and distribute management reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Generate both periodic and adhoc reports as needed
- Perform data analysis for generated reports on a periodic basis
- Provide strong reporting and analytical information support to management team
- Prepare and update monthly KPI data
Requirements
- Degree holder in Business Information Systems or any other related fields
- Full/partial professional qualification in Accountancy is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data/MIS/analysis/dashboard reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot, Macros, etc.), Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Practical experience with a variety of software applications, preferably in Oracle and TM1
- Experience in the general insurance industry is preferred
- Attention to detail, and excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
