As the Payment Manager, your mission is to set and execute the strategic vision for our Payments product, translating it into actionable plans that drive growth and profitability. You will lead the charge in aligning our business with the 'what' and 'why' of our Payments strategy, working collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, balancing customer insights and commercial priorities to make informed decisions. By closely monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes, you will ensure our Payments infrastructure remains at the forefront of innovation and security. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in building relationships and securing new Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to expand our payment capabilities.

Your EDGE assignment/You will

  • Define and communicate the product strategy, vision, and objectives for Payments, aligning all stakeholders and driving profitable outcomes.
  • Lead planning cycles to synchronize business efforts and manage the product lifecycle.
  • Take features from ideation through testing and implementation, working closely with Engineering.
  • Make data-driven decisions and say 'No' when necessary, providing clear explanations.
  • Contribute to operational plans for growth in collaboration with key functions.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and seek continuous improvement.
  • Manage and implement market and customer research, strategic planning, and execution.
  • Prioritize and oversee UX/UI resources within the team, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Connect customers with technology through modern design principles.
  • Effectively assess and communicate the commercial benefits of proposed features.
  • Own the Payments and PSP roadmap, shaping priorities based on strategy and business objectives.
  • Be an internal subject matter expert on Axi's global payments infrastructure and PSP initiatives.
  • Lead experimentation initiatives to optimize payment performance across various gateways, methods, and markets.
  • Monitor emerging trends, industry developments, regulatory changes, and security enhancements in the payments industry.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing PSPs while securing new PSP partnerships to expand our capabilities.
  • Own the product deployment release process, ensuring rigorous testing and readiness for pre-production.
  • Collaborate with the global team for pre-production testing and product releases.
  • Drive the Payments product release process, working with Marketing and Sales to promote customer adoption.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, or Engineering).
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, specifically in the Payments domain.
  • Strong ability to set and communicate a clear product vision and strategy.
  • Exceptional project management and planning skills.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, UX/UI, and Marketing.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and prioritization.
  • Deep understanding of the payments industry, trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to change and improvement.
  • Prior experience with global payments infrastructure, PSP initiatives, and building relationships with PSPs is a plus.
