JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your main duties and responsibilities include:
STRATEGY
• Lead the strategic process on allocated accounts
• Bring rigor to our strategic thinking; simplify the complex
• Ensure strategy is a valued revenue centre within the agency
• Help to enhance proprietary strategic tools, models, and processes
• Demonstrate a strategic understanding across numerous different disciplines: brand positioning, brand identity, packaging, communications, shopper marketing, innovation, naming, brand architecture, tone of voice, etc.
Investigating:
• Undertake stakeholder interviews, consumer interviewing and focus group moderation that will inform strategic thinking
• Conduct competitor, category and semiotic analysis, identifying implications for client brands
Informing:
• Generate consumer insights and consumer pen portraits
Inspiring:
• Creative brief setting, writing, and briefing
• Compile Design Strategy presentations and create inspirational Design Platforms
• Structure workshop facilitation and brainstorming – internally and with clients
CREATIVE
• Build unbreakable bonds with senior creative
• Champion the creative process
• Define and protect the creative integrity of our product with strong strategic rationales or
perspectives
• Sell our creative products
• Ensure rigor in our strategic thinking and ensure it supports our creative products
CLIENT MINING AND NEW BUSINESS
• Build valued relationships with senior client teams that aid agency dependency and
business development
• Keep your ear to the ground, continually listening (and looking) for potential opportunities
• Proactively deliver relevant and tailored thought-pieces or client initiatives to help meet
forecasted targets
• Support Client Partners and Business Development Directors in their mining efforts
CLIENT SERVICING
• Proposal setting and checking in partnership with proposal writer
• Involved in project reviews and wash-up sessions
• Structure and compile pitch presentations
• Attend client briefings and first stage creative presentations
• Compile creative briefs and concept development briefs when appropriate
• Compile workshop agendas and brief required stimuli or pre-tasks
• Attend internal critiques
• Engaged in annual client reviews and agency strategic offer
• Building influencing skills that can be used accordingly and appropriately
PRODUCTION
• Tone of voice and pack copy, when appropriate
• Review guidelines and toolkits in terms of structure, content and tone
COMMERCIALS
• Demonstrate an understanding of financials
• Sense check allocation of budgeted time and deliverables with Client Partners
MANAGEMENT
• Managing the expectations of the senior team on a day-to-day basis
• Support in building the team’s skill set and strategic prowess
• Support Client Services in strategic specific planning and forecasting
• Guide, input and support more junior members of the team members
• Effect change and influence ways of working, best practice and develop new
methodologies
• Identify problems and propose solutions
ADMINISTRATION
• Submit timesheets weekly
• Filing of relevant strategic documents and project related administration
• Structuring and writing copy for case studies and caselets
In addition to the duties stated above you may be required to undertake further tasks as
necessary to meet the demands of the Employer’s business.
