- Develop and implement safety and health policies and procedures for the shipyard.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and assess hazards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training to employees on a variety of topics, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety and health activities
- Prepare reports on safety and health performance for management.
- Conduct QEHS induction and other QEHS-related training for all/ new staff and all contractors.
- Conduct toolbox briefings.
- Conduct monthly QEHS Committee Meetings with relevant stakeholders and generate minutes of meeting in a timely manner.
- Disseminate information on QEHS updates, incident sharing, and/or new initiatives.
- Advise the on-site team to discharge their statutory duties under the WSH Act.
- Assist the team in the identification of workplace risks and in recommending and implementing the necessary control measures.
- Assist the operations team in the identification and/or clarification of QEHS-related matters and advice on hazards or control measures.
- Ensure the projects Risk Assessment, EAI & risk register are updated and reviewed as and when required.
- Conduct monthly QEHS Inspection and meet up with Authorised Representatives for all project sites.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of QEHS measures and develop method statements and safe work procedures.
- To address QEHS observations/findings.
- Manage high-risk work activities and Permit-To-Work (PTW) system.
- Prepare and submit Monthly QEHS Audit Inspection Report on a timely basis to the Corporate QEHS Team, Project Operations Manager and Client.
- Work closely with business partners for documents submission pertaining to QEHS to customers according to customers’ requirements.
- Conduct incident, dangerous occurrences investigations, and accident reporting.
- Reporting on monthly Project QEHS Statistics.
- Ensuring strict compliance with the statutory legal and other requirements.
- Organizing and leading QEHS outreach activities and promotional programs.
- Assisting the Project Operations Manager in rehearsing emergency response plans and procedures.
- Maintain proper QEHS documentation and records.
- Candidates with FSM and ECO experience would be preferred.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
