Primary Objective(s) of Position
- Assist to provide/support RFQ from customers, attend to customers’ enquiries, manage existing customers’ account, maintain storage/warehouse inventory and coordinate customers’ cargo/material movement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to Request for Quotation (RFQ) from client
- Attend to and follow-up on customers’ enquiries and requests
- To establish/negotiate with vendors/suppliers for better rates for seafreight/airfreight
- Update and ensure that warehouse inventory is accurate
- Issue Receiving/ Delivery/ Re-packing instruction for warehouse execution
- Arrange payment to carrier/co-loader for import shipment release or export shipment for BL collection
- To coordinate between our warehouse and vendors/suppliers/hauliers for local/overseas import/export/cross-trade clearance
- To declare import/export permit using Tradenet
- To update import/export permit and materials record in system
- Carry out service failure investigation/complaint and ensure corrective and preventive actions are in place
- Prepare cost sheet and ensure timely execution of work orders
- Gather regular quantitative and qualitative feedback for continuous improvement
- Fulfill other tasks assigned by the superior.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Other adhoc duties as assigned by management
Person Specifications
- Diploma / Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or relevant working experience
- Minimum 2 years of freight forwarding experience
- Meticulous with an eye for details
- Comfortable with working in a team
