Job Description & Responsibilities
· Design, develop and build robotics applications
· Expand capabilities of current robotics applications by identifying potential improvements to the robotic applications, and implementing these as features
· Remove/Reduce bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the robotic system
· Ensure scalability for the designs/development/installation/deployment of the product
· Perform tests and optimize newer features, through prototype and capability testing
· Integrate sensors/electronic modules/IoT components as per requirements from clients
· Collaborate with Ops teams to understand standard robotic operations, to also provide an extensive deployment during operations
· Schedule and liaise with clients within stipulated timeline to handle deployment operations
· Ensure smooth operations of robotic capabilities during demonstrations
· Manage and handle and specialised deployment in production environment
· Maintain robot security system stability and operability on existing sites
· Troubleshoot bugs and identify vulnerabilities within the existing robotics applications in a timely manner, and to safeguard subsequent designs
· Compile/store/update technical/knowledge documents
· Maintain a record of all the goods, orders, supplies, security robot maintenance
Additional Responsibilities
· Provide robotic handling training to new onboarding interns
· Manage onboarding interns to handle daily robot diagnosis, installation, and follow-ups, safeguarding the engineering environment for our business
· Assist Ops team to handle R&D related projects operations
· Design and maintain existing designs using relevant 3D design software
· Refine the current workflows, processes and practices of parts purchase and robot assembly to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
· Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related disciplines
· Excellent problem-solving skills e.g Troubleshooting, analysis of issue
· Excellent technical skills in electrical hardware e.g soldering, wiring
· Good knowledge in utilizing engineering tools e.g. vernier callipers, multimeter
· Proficiency in at least one main programming language (Python/C++)
· Proficiency and experience in navigating around a Linux environment
· Strong scripting skills e.g. Bash
