Position Overview
We’re growing our team to meet the surge in demand for events! The Social Media Marketing Executive will sit at a unique crossroad between our portfolio of brands, each delivering one of our key event services to our partners and our clients. These brands include:
- Unearthed Productions (event management agency)
- Live Productions (audio, visual & lighting (AVL) rental and consultancy)
- UP media (creative agency)
- SpectaWorks (provider of stage effects such as pyrotechnics, confetti etc.)
- The Food Truck People (food truck rental)
This product and service diversity presents an opportunity for the incumbent to work across a web of customer touch points and content strategies designed to drive the customer journey -
from prospect to client, and from client to raving fans of Unearthed Productions and our group of brands.
Responsibilities
- Regularly ideate and create pieces of content that live on different formats on various social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram feed posts, stories, reels, videos and live, Facebook posts and stories, LinkedIn posts and YouTube shorts.
- Work with other members of the marketing team to ensure social media content is guided by established themes and aimed at promoting deeper interactions with our content at-large.
- Maintain a healthy calendar of social media content to continuously engage our audiences throughout the year.
- On social media, build and nurture a community around Unearthed Productions and our group of brands by keeping abreast of the surrounding social and cultural conversations and driving responses that generate top-of-mind awareness.
- Demonstrate a keen understanding of the impact of social media content by presenting monthly social reports to the Head of Marketing.
- Review all social media copies for grammatical errors and style consistency.
- If advised, assist the Content Marketing Executive in the creation of blog posts, infographics, videos, lead magnets, EDMs etc.
- Strive to work with other members of the marketing to evolve the customer journey to improve conversions, lead nurturing and relationships with existing clients.
- Requirements
- Must have a keen eye for aesthetics and creative details, along with working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Canva and CapCut (or another video-editing equivalent). Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is a bonus.
- Possesses good command of the English language, including grammar and vocabulary.
- Is a self-starter.
- Demonstrates deep research skills and is resourceful.
- Has the ability to handle multiple projects and deliver work according to schedule.
- Is able to work independently yet contribute as a team member.
- No experience is required but must have a passion to learn the role of social media in the customer journey and how to harness its full potential. Good performers will also get to explore how great content works to secure clients for Unearthed Productions and our group of brands.
- Applicants must submit a portfolio of creative works (school or personal projects are fine).
