Job Description:
Responsible and accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing for the organization, direction, supervision and implementation of ideas, strategies and operations in collaboration with related staff and members of the health care team for all nursing activities, manpower management and financial performance of the In-Patient department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the clinical operations of the nursing services at in-patient wards and ensure constant evaluation to provide safe and therapeutically effective patient care.
- Provide professional clinical support to the Nurse Managers/Clinicians and nursing staff.
- Oversee the implementation of clinical nursing standards, policies, and procedures and to ensure compliance to the hospital established guidelines and policies.
- To maintain a visible leadership presence in the clinical areas, evaluate the quality and appropriateness of patient care including accurate nursing documentation, supervision of staff and assists in meeting the doctor's needs.
- To promote a culture of safety and service excellence with supervision, guidance and feedback and inculcating the awareness of accountability and responsibility.
- Be involved in the recruitment, selection, development and retention of nurses and support staff in collaboration with the Human Resource Department.
Requirements:
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board
- Diploma and/or a recognized Bachelor Degree in Nursing
