Objectives of the position:
The Product Manager is responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of products. Performs routine engineering design tasks using standard techniques. Fair knowledge of
cable and components applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Planning and evaluating new projects, consulting with other engineers and management as necessary.
• Review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection, based on design objectives such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and cost.
• Work with account managers, sales, production and engineers to establish cost estimates and production standards.
• Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve.
• Prepare technical drawings to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. Where applicable.
• Optimizes productivity in both the engineering and production areas by designing, implementing and testing new procedures.
• Contributes to the teams’ efforts by successfully completing related tasks as needed.
Skills & Qualification
• Analytical skills for troubleshooting designs that are not working as planned and finding answers that work by asking the right questions and testing options.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain details of the process and findings to groups of all skillsets.
• Interpersonal skills to develop strong and positive working relationships with the engineering team and all employees in the production process.
• Strong technical knowledge and critical thinking
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Electrical or Electronics preferred.
• 5 years of engineering experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) systems.
