1. Job Overview
We are looking for a Fraud Analyst to be responsible for identifying and remediating Fraud threats arising from Corporate Customers while providing consultation and strategic directions through effective communication
The ideal candidate should have demonstrable analytical skills along with a passion for research, investigation and discovery.
2. Responsibilities
-Conduct fraud operations, timely investigations, and manual interventions, acting as a fraud SME
-Detect suspicious activity and fraud alerts using data analytics, reports and systems
-Identify new and emerging fraud patterns from different markets and fraud typologies
-Prepare investigation reports, document the findings and the reason behind the decisioning
-Escalate complex or unresolved fraud threats to stakeholders as required
-Educate stakeholders on emerging fraud threats
-Embrace new approaches to increase efficiencies, improve fraud detection and reduce risk
-Actively support the Group’s Anti-Fraud strategy and functions
3. Requirements and skills
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Ingenuity and persistence to obtain case information/ extract insights from open source data (OSD) with an eye for detail
-Good organisational skills needed to manage a high volume of assigned cases
-Honest and ethical with high levels of integrity and confidentiality
-Analytical and self-initiated to resolve issues, with demonstrated ability to understand and identify appropriate solutions and/or alternatives
4. Qualifications
-2 to 3 years’ experience in fraud surveillance and/or transaction monitoring/ Open source intelligence
-Working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Word, Excel
-Knowledge of how fraud rules work and the key fraud indicators
-Knowledge of consumer and/or corporate banking, with knowledge of various payment channels is an added advantage
