Job Summary

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will assist and ensure the smooth execution of all essential HR functions throughout the Employee Life-Cycle and support PPIS’ Strategic and Development Plans to grow our people’s contribution, capabilities and competencies.


Job Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Partner department units in their talent acquisition efforts
  • Consider their requests for manpower requisition received against organizational establishment or budget
  • Ensure prompt delivery across the key recruitment processes and deliverables from position requisition call - jobs postings – screening & shortlisting – interview & selection – employment offer - job start & induction
  • Prepare required documentation and references for the purposes of recruitment and job start such as contracts, Letter of Appointments (LOA)
  • Act as point of contact and be a positive influence for a candidate during the selection processes
  • Promote organization reputation as ‘best place to work’;
  • Proactively seek to improve recruitment initiatives to fill vacancies
  • Initiate and implement initiatives that can help to reduce hiring time and minimize work disruption
  • Work with units and HR colleagues to chart and track employees’ development in accordance to established competency frameworks for career progression

2. Employee Offboarding & Exit Interview

  • Perform staff exit interview
  • Tracking of employee retention/attrition
  • Be involved and contribute in the review, development and implementation of human resource plans and programs to support staff retention
  • Analyse exit interview feedbacks and prepare reports

3. Other HR Involvements

  • Prepare materials for and participate in the HRAC and other corporate or management meetings of a HR focus, take up duties and follow up as assigned
  • Keep abreast of national, sector developments which impact HR practices and policies. Prompts for change in policies and practices when required
  • Foster good industrial relations with employees, sector players and union leaders through various platforms including dialogues and discussions
  • Involved in Union negotiations and handling employees’ grievances, disciplinary and counselling matters
  • Take on any other duties as assigned by superiors


Job Requirements

  • Min. Degree in any field, preferably in Human Resource field
  • At least 5 years of HR experience
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent team player and in a supervisory role
  • Meticulous and result oriented, self-driven.
  • Delivers tasks promptly with little supervision
  • Proficient in MS office application
  • Continuous improvement mindset, seeks to improve own capabilities
