Job Summary
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will assist and ensure the smooth execution of all essential HR functions throughout the Employee Life-Cycle and support PPIS’ Strategic and Development Plans to grow our people’s contribution, capabilities and competencies.
Job Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Development
- Partner department units in their talent acquisition efforts
- Consider their requests for manpower requisition received against organizational establishment or budget
- Ensure prompt delivery across the key recruitment processes and deliverables from position requisition call - jobs postings – screening & shortlisting – interview & selection – employment offer - job start & induction
- Prepare required documentation and references for the purposes of recruitment and job start such as contracts, Letter of Appointments (LOA)
- Act as point of contact and be a positive influence for a candidate during the selection processes
- Promote organization reputation as ‘best place to work’;
- Proactively seek to improve recruitment initiatives to fill vacancies
- Initiate and implement initiatives that can help to reduce hiring time and minimize work disruption
- Work with units and HR colleagues to chart and track employees’ development in accordance to established competency frameworks for career progression
2. Employee Offboarding & Exit Interview
- Perform staff exit interview
- Tracking of employee retention/attrition
- Be involved and contribute in the review, development and implementation of human resource plans and programs to support staff retention
- Analyse exit interview feedbacks and prepare reports
3. Other HR Involvements
- Prepare materials for and participate in the HRAC and other corporate or management meetings of a HR focus, take up duties and follow up as assigned
- Keep abreast of national, sector developments which impact HR practices and policies. Prompts for change in policies and practices when required
- Foster good industrial relations with employees, sector players and union leaders through various platforms including dialogues and discussions
- Involved in Union negotiations and handling employees’ grievances, disciplinary and counselling matters
- Take on any other duties as assigned by superiors
Job Requirements
- Min. Degree in any field, preferably in Human Resource field
- At least 5 years of HR experience
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent team player and in a supervisory role
- Meticulous and result oriented, self-driven.
- Delivers tasks promptly with little supervision
- Proficient in MS office application
- Continuous improvement mindset, seeks to improve own capabilities
