The jobholder’s primary role is to provide leadership to project teams and direct them to complete projects on time, within budget and within scope. The accountability includes managing project resources and budget and conduct regular project review meetings to ensure that the projects are on track at every stage of the project life cycle. The scope includes management of change requests, anticipating and addressing issues, prompt handling of project delays and risks to ensure successful outcomes. In summary, he/she is expected to oversee all aspects of the projects and account for the project performance vis-à-vis project KPIs. He/she should be well versed in project management concepts, practices, and procedures; and able to lead and direct the project team. He/she is expected to perform a variety of tasks and be creative in sourcing for solutions.
Responsibilities:
(1) Manage a portfolio of projects running concurrently with defined project scope and objectives
(2) Mentor, lead and motivate project managers in the project teams
(3) Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs.
(4) Measure project performance, report and update Management periodically on progress of projects
(5) Fully responsible for end-to-end activities from requirements gathering to project delivery
(6) Contribute to formulation of project policies, templates, practices to raise the performance standards of project management and reviewing and initiating project process improvements
Requirements:
(a) University graduate with a proven track record of managing multiple projects to ensure successful delivery.
(b) Minimum 8 years of experience in managing concurrent projects.
(c) Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
(d) Excellent presentation and organizational skills including attention to details.
(e) Good planning and management skills including multi-tasking
(f) Knowledge of some Project Management Tools such as JIRA, Sharepoint, MS Project, Power BI etc is desirable but not necessary
(g) Competent and proficient in understanding IT Infrastructure (servers, storage, network, EUC, structured cabling) and IT security is desirable but not necessary
(h) Experience in bio-medical equipment system is desirable but not necessary
(i) Preferably to possess PMP or Prince 2 certification
(j) Good team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
