- Report all matters to the head of the division. Additionally, refer the acceptance of new members to the underwriting director and report professional underwriting matters to the underwriting director in accordance with established underwriting guidelines.
- Ensure prompt and accurate production and processing of members’ policy documentation and debiting by coordinating with the operational team staff.
- Renew budget and reports and be accountable to the underwriting directors and Head of Division for the process.
- Organize the circulation of new business quotations to International Underwriting Directors and the Head of Division following established procedures.
- Analyze and monitor underwriting trends and deterioration.
- Assist in inputting new business, fleet additions, and declinations into the Weekly Underwriting Report.
- Maintain clear communication and liaison with claims staff for both claims and contract reviews.
- Identify and develop new business within the relevant business areas and establish necessary communication with brokers and involved members.
- Participate in internal working groups and go-to teams as required.
Requirements:
- A strong background in marine insurance, with a minimum of 5-10 years of P&I underwriting experience. Alternatively, a broker with adequate market knowledge and a quick learning ability may also be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes.
