This advertisement is for recruiting for the position of Operations Executive.
If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Junior College located in Pasir Ris.
Contract Period: 1 Jan 2024 to 31 Dec 2024 with an
Option to Extend: for a year from 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours for :
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5.00pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
The Operations Executive scope will comprise of 3 main areas:
Public Address and Broadcast System, Managing AV/ICT Resources and Estate Operations. The details are as follows:
1. Public Address (PA) and Broadcast System
- Train PA crew (student volunteers) to take charge of the Public Address System equipment and provide AV support during assembly and school events.
- Maintain PA system in school – monitor, troubleshoot, provide maintenance and escalate unresolved problems to relevant vendors; coordinate with vendors on site where installation and repair works are required.
- Provide support for broadcast system for school events/activities.
- Maintain school broadcast system.
2. Audio-Visual/ICT Resources
- Manage and provide AV/IT technical support to facilitate the delivery of lessons and during all major school events including rehearsals.
- Handle all AV/IT set-up requests for school events (MM, staff meetings, exams, school events, etc) – ensure requests made by staff and external parties (pre-approved by P/VP) are met.
- Provide AV/IT support to staff that includes use of projectors, sound & laptop connection.
- Manage all AV/IT equipment, monitor equipment usage and provide maintenance on a termly basis. Maintain AV/IT inventory and loan records of AV/IT and PArelated equipment.
- To ensure that the AV/IT equipment in the classrooms and special rooms are always in good working condition and ready for use.
- Conduct regular maintenance of the AV/IT equipment in school that includes basic troubleshooting, repair and installation.
- Assist ICT Department in the procurement and condemnation of AV/IT equipment. Assist in troubleshooting of simple technical issues and assist Desktop Engineer in the diagnosis of IT problems.
3. Operations Support duties
- Assist Operations Manager (OM) on estate facilities operations matters.
- Provide support to OM on estate-related matters.
- Any ad hoc support assigned by VP Admin.
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Minimum GCE ‘N’ or “O’ Levels or equivalent in AV/ICT related field.
- Candidate must have experience in related field (AV/ICT).
- Be well-versed in AV equipment, AV setup and deployment and with knowledge in Broadcast System.
- Possess IT knowledge and able to perform IT troubleshooting.
- Preferably possess school experience.
- Possess a pleasant disposition and good interpersonal skills.
- Be able to have good planning and analytical skills.
- Be able to multitask and work independently.
