Job Description
- Develop mutually beneficial relationship with target clients including (but not limited to) ship owners, ship managers, suppliers, charterers, etc.
- Create and execute policies to enhance corporate identity, branding, and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Develop strategy and a structured approach to drive new business and client development in marine industry.
- Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
- Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Understand the company’s goal and purpose to enhance the company’s performance.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Conduct in depth research and analysis for business development of new products and potential markets
- Working with Operation teams to produce monthly data reports, supported by detailed analysis and counter plans
Job Requirements:
- At least 3 years of hands-on work experience, and Maritime industry is a plus to understand the terminologies of this space.
- Sales experience with Shipping Supplies & contractors (Spares, Stores, Lubricants, Provisions, Shipping Services)
- Excellent IT skills on MS Office especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proactive and able to work as a team
- Cross-functional capabilities – ability to be hands-on with all teams: sales, account management, marketing, product and development.
- Ability to work under stress and able to work independently.
