We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting and Finance Staff to join our team. This role will primarily focus on handling accounting and finance duties for our company. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the construction industry and possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. The staff will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and providing financial support to the team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the construction company.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payment and collection.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring actual financial performance against targets.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial reports and schedules.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors, if necessary.
- Collaborate with project teams and management to provide financial support and guidance.
- Assist in financial audits and provide required documentation and support.
- Stay updated with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulations related to the construction sector.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements in the finance function.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting and finance roles, with specific experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP System (Synergix) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Required to be familiar with Singaporean accounting regulations and tax requirements
