Platform Engineer - MQ Infra Administrator
Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of WebSphere MQ v7.5 & v8.0.
- Problem determination and Trouble shooting in standard production environments.
- Configuring MQ objects such as Queue Managers, channels and queues in local and remote MQ servers.
- MQSC Commands and admin tool like MQMON and it’s usage in all administration tasks.
- Different MQ logging methods and log archival mechanisms.
- MQ object parameters and its usage in production environments.
- Application and channel triggering & channel security implementation.
- Implementing MQ security using OAM and SSL.
Requirement
- MQ – WebSphere MQ/MQSeries/IBM MQ admin.
- WebSphere admin/WAS admin.
- IHS/Webserver admin.
- J2E. JBOSS.
- WAS – IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM IHS, Unix/Linux.
- Scripting : Jacl/python / Perl/Shell.
- Should have sound knowledge in ITIL processes incident management, change management, problem management and request management etc.
- WebSphere MQ, Shell scripting knowledge is an added advantage.
