Job Duties:
- Responsible to ensure all the applications systems remain in good working order.
- Support new application systems until operational.
- Respond quickly to production emergencies in a timely manner based on Service Levels. This includes bringing up the server (in a crash) or system processes, fixing problems or finding workarounds.
- Perform routine checks and to escalate to the Team Lead/Project Manager for any anomaly detection.
- Follow up every issue / problem till closure; and complete the necessary documentation.
- Work with application support team, end-users and external vendors during application support and problem resolution.
- Besides application support, the Candidate is also expected to make some code changes/ enhancements that arise from service requests.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- At least FIVE (5) years of work experience in IT development, with exposure to end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- JAVA development experience using JDK
- Experience with Linux/Apache/MySQL/Php/Perl (LAMP)
- Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax, XSL and XML programming
- Experience in developing applications using SOAP and/or REST based web services and APIs.
- Good to have experience on the cloud environment, e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
- Good to have experience in Web Crawler, e.g. Heritrix Web Crawler and OpenWayBack, WOGAA or AWStats. and SOLR
