Job Description
- Ensure that LASIK equipment, such as the Femtosecond laser and Excimer laser, is calibrated and functioning before each surgery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of each LASIK procedure, including patient information and surgical details.
- Ensure that all LASIK procedures meet quality control standards and follow established protocols.
- To take initiative and proactively identify and address potential issues to improve the efficiency and productivity of any LASIK procedures.
- To build rapport and liaise with vendors for equipment installation and preventive maintenance. Ensure it is performed properly and timely PM are scheduled and completed according to given timeline.
- Being proactive and ensuring that efficient and prompt support services are provided so that surgery can be performed smoothly and to the satisfaction of the surgeons and patients.
- Display consistent service behaviour standards to achieve positive patient response and maintain productive positive working relationship among colleagues.
- · Ensure optimal utilization of resources and significant productivity in processes accomplished.
- · Ensure OT temperature and humidity are checked and maintained in accordance with the needs of the individual equipment to establish the correct operational environment for surgery.
- Maintain operational readiness in the OT. Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of surgical equipment and the environment of the operating room clean and tidy.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in LASIK technology and techniques through ongoing training and education.
- Any other tasks propose or pass down by supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least NITEC/ Diploma qualification.
- Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft office.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Comfortable to work in Operating Theatre settings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Healthcare and/or Ophthalmology discipline will be an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome too.
