How you will do it:
Assume responsibility in providing engineering support for the design, routing layout, and performing other related tasks pertaining to electrical issue, including motor, electrical panel, cabling etc.
- Prepare and design wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, single-line diagrams, termination diagram, cable schedules, earthing, installation etc.
- Design of junction box details, cable trays, and work with skid designer for routing and location of such.
- Responsible on motor sizing/specification/ testing procedure which meet high end customer expectation – Example Petronas/Shell etc.
- Design and review the electrical panel from vendors as per IEC/NEMA specification if required by customer, achieve cost saving by limiting scope from JCI
- Responsible on all electrical design on EX-Proof chiller/refrigeration unit
- Work closely and follow-up technically with electrical panel supplier/sub-contractor to provide accurate quotes to meet the tender requirement.
- Work with VSD/Soft starter supplier to provide correct specification that suite IR application and operating condition.
- To carry out engineering support work or other tasks that may be assigned by the Head of Engineering.
- Able to study and understand specification of instruments for Ex-proof requirement and API std.
- For support field commissioning engineer on site trouble shooting and any electrical modification required.
- Able to lead and guide junior engineer to share the knowledge for difference customer.
- Able to communicate with difference factory for difference design and understand the principle in order to have knowledge transfer and limitation of individual factory for chiller/refrigeration unit supplied.
What we look for:
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
- Familiarity with international electrical engineering codes and standards.
- Familiarity with the design of difference electrical panel for F&B customer and YPS customer.
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably in refrigeration, chemical process, oil and gas (onshore and offshore), or similar industry.
- Experience with high specification special motor from vendors is a MUST.
- Meet or improve the committed submission electrical documents, and complete assigned tasks within the time frame given.
- Able to read and understand tender requirement/specification to electrical panel as per requirement.
- Support and help to achieve cost effective with Project team.
