Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vessels schedules are managed and optimized, working with local parties to minimize port turnaround time.
  • Follow up on fuel consumption, proposing alternative schedules to recover delays in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Establishing the loading plans, aiming to fully utilize the vessels capacities.
  • Conduct regular meetings/discussions with local agency as well as terminal management.
  • Evaluate the suitability of vessels in given ports based on their characteristics, on the port capabilities and our commercial requirements.
  • Constant review of the vessel capacity based on the latest cargo mix to ensure vessels can lift maximum cargo volume.
  • Ensure adequate resource allocation for regular and adhoc vessels calling the ports.
  • To familiarize one’s self and the Operations team with local rules and regulations which may directly or indirectly affect meeting any of the team’s performance indicators.
  • Identify trends, process improvements on ship safety and operational need and propose process solutions.
  • To give regular feedback on challenges met, and on any pending issues that may impact the team’s current performance, or in the future.
  • Proactively brainstorm with local agency Operations to identify cost efficiency initiatives and guide them to mitigate the associated cost.
  • Identify system/process misalignments to drive standardization and constant improvement and resolutions in end-to-end Cost Control processes.



Key Requirements:

Degree in Maritime/Business or equivalent

Min 1 year experience shipping or logistics

Knowledge of Power BI



Additional Information

  • Location: Central
  • Up to S$6,000 per month basic (depending on experience)
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday
  • 21 days Annual Leave
