Assistant Director of Human Resources

Responsible for supporting the Director of Human Resources in providing guidance and support for the accomplishment of Hotel’s and individual department’s goals and objectives by recruiting, developing, motivating and maintaining a competent workforce ensuring our guests experience is unique and brings the brand to life.


Summary of Responsibilities

  • Administers HR policies and procedures within the Hotel
  • Supervises the proper maintenance and upkeep of all employees’ data
  • Works with ExCom and HOD and recommend appropriate manning level, ensuring effective utilization of manpower
  • Identifies best sources of talent to meet manning needs through cross training, up-skilling, inter-hotel transfers, or external hires
  • Educate and train managers in accordance with hotel policies including progressive disciplinary process, performance management process, and related programmes to foster productivity
  • Conduct interviews and ensure best fit candidates are selected, and make recommendations to ExCom and HOD
  • Ensures that new colleagues are scheduled for induction and orientation
  • Completes the required HR reports by MOHG and local regulations
  • Ensures that colleagues’ welfare and benefits are taken care of per Hotel policies
  • Fosters and enhances harmonious employee relations to increase efficiency and to boost morale
  • Conduct employee engagement survey and ensure execution of effective follow up actions
  • Ensure HR practices are in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Handles industrial relations matters, basic grievances and disciplinary matters
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources


Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years’ related experience in an International class hotel
  • Oral and written fluency in English
  • Great communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Outgoing and people oriented
  • Motivator and self-starter
  • Team player
  • Displays initiative
  • Commitment to professional values
