Role And Responsibilities
- The position is based in Singapore, frequent travel to Kuala Lumpur and Batam will be required.
- The position for the Asian Region is composed of several focus areas: Project Management (40%), Project Engineering (40%) and Line Management (20%).
- In the project management field, basic project KPls will be managed such as planning, costs and overall quality. These items will be reported through a Project Steering Group structure to stakeholders within the GPS department.
- Communication skills with our client is a key part of the position.
- The Project Engineering tasks include all high-level technical activities related to a new construction pipeline project, such as: preparation of technical scope, drafting technical procedures, preparing or reviewing AUT setups, coordinating AUT qualifications and validations, reviewing NOT data, advising and directing technical stakeholders during production. In order to successfully pertorm these tasks, the Project Manager will be trained in the latest GPS NC methodologies, such as IWEX, IWEX CRA and Rotoscan CRA.
- From line Management perspective, the Project Manager will advise the Manager Global Operations on regional team status, monitor and act on resource demand and forecasting, perform job interviews with prospect employees, manage operational team on a day-to-day basis and perform yearly employee evaluations.
- The operations team in Singapore .consists of one Project Engineer and several Operators in the Workforce,KLteam consist on BO Manager. Depending on market development, the team is susceptible to grow over the coming years.
- The main strategy for the next year is to consolidate the regional team to manage the local projects, in close co.llaboration with the GPS Headquarters in Rotterdam. Once successful, local capabilities will be developed in terms of manpower, equipment and expertise.
