Assistant Manager, ESG Risk Analysis

As an ESG Risk Analysis Assistant Manager at KPMG Singapore, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in identifying, assessing, and managing ESG-related risks and opportunities.


You will work closely with clients, senior management, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality ESG risk analysis and insights. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to sustainability efforts and gain exposure to a diverse range of industries.

Responsibilities:

  1. ESG Risk Assessment: Collaborate with clients to conduct thorough ESG risk assessments, including analysing their operations, supply chains, and stakeholder engagements to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  2. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret ESG-related data, financial reports, and other relevant information to develop comprehensive risk profiles and performance metrics.
  3. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare well-structured and insightful reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate ESG risk analysis findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local and international ESG regulations, guidelines, and reporting frameworks to ensure clients' ESG strategies align with legal requirements.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients' internal and external stakeholders to gather information, assess materiality, and ensure a holistic understanding of ESG risks and opportunities.
  6. Client Advisory: Provide expert guidance to clients on ESG risk mitigation strategies, best practices, and sustainable business practices to enhance their long-term resilience.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with senior managers, consultants, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of projects and delivery of client-focused solutions.
  8. Thought Leadership: Stay informed about emerging ESG trends, innovations, and industry benchmarks to contribute to thought leadership initiatives and help clients stay ahead in their ESG journey.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Accounting, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Business Administration).
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in ESG risk analysis, sustainability consulting, financial accounting or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and insights.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD) and global ESG standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Professional certifications related to accounting, sustainability and ESG (e.g., ISCA/ICAEW/ACCA/CPA, CFA, CSR-P) are advantageous.
