We are actively seeking a results-oriented and experienced professional to join our esteemed client, one of the largest Multinational Corporations (MNCs) specializing in Sustainability and Renewable Energy Advisory, as the Business Development Leader for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
This role demands a seasoned Renewable Energy Expert with profound technical knowledge and demonstrated stakeholder management skills specifically tailored to the unique dynamics of the Asian market. The successful candidate will be pivotal in advancing our client's ambitious goals in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise:
- Harness extensive knowledge of renewable energy technologies to identify strategic opportunities and drive innovative technical solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful development and execution of cutting-edge renewable energy projects.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and local communities.
- Navigate intricate regulatory landscapes and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to ensure seamless project implementation.
- Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership to the business development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to motivate and guide the team towards achieving ambitious renewable energy goals set by our client.
- Scope 2 Implementation:
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of Scope 2 work, focusing on implementing renewable electricity projects in alignment with our client's sustainability objectives.
- Oversee the development and execution of strategies to meet Scope 2 targets, ensuring compliance with global sustainability standards.
- PPA and Term Sheets:
- Lead the creation, negotiation, and execution of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and term sheets for renewable energy projects.
- Ensure all contractual agreements align with our client's sustainability objectives and comply with local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications in renewable energy are highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successful business development in the renewable energy sector in the APAC region.
- Strong understanding of Scope 2 work and experience in implementing renewable electricity projects.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on motivating and developing high-performance teams.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
