- Carry our Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul services, including planning, troubleshooting, diagnosing, minor repair and complete overhaul of major marine propulsion equipment
- Commissioning new gearbox involving yard, basin and sea trials
- Preparing field service report with appropriate photos of before and after repair for the final report to client
- Interpret electrical drawings and perform basic troubleshooting of faults on electrical system with minimum guidance
- Support Workshop Manager to prepare parts quotation for Purchaser to procure spares to conduct repair or overhaul
- Carry out daily Tool Box meeting and ensure compliance with workplace safety and health practices
- Other ad-hoc duties.
Requirements
- NITEC or higher in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years in marine sector, propulsion related expertise
- Ability to troubleshoot on propulsion related equipment with minimum guidance
- Able to travel overseas as required, sometimes at short notice
- Well conversant with good writing skills in English
