Role Description:
As a Supervisor, the incumbent will be assisting the Operations manager as well as Assistant manager in the day-to-day functions of the restaurant. A Supervisor / Section Leader should lead your team and ensure that they provide efficient and excellent service to the guests at all times.
The incumbent will take directions and guidance from the managers and lead their team on each shift, ensuring that all restaurant service standards is maintained. He/She shall also assist the managers in training the members on his/her team.
The Supervisor will operationalize and manage all customer interactions, including seating, recommending / upselling menu items, taking orders, fulfilling orders and servicing their needs as guests of the restaurant.
The incumbent must assist in other operational functions including restaurant opening and closing duties, cleaning and clearing tables and other side duties e.g. polishing silverware, filling condiments.
A Supervisor is expected to be a team player, stepping up to assist, support and lead other members o their team when necessary.
Scope and Responsibilities:
i) Leadership & People Management
- Assist managers / other supervisors as well as lead junior team members
ii) Service Excellence
- Perform all service duties including but not limited to the following:
a) Opening and closing of restaurant
b) Taking and fulfilling customers’ orders
c) Cleaning and clearing tables
d) Proper handling of the POS system
e) Other Side duties
- Comply with operational service standards
- Assist in organization and maintenance of inventory and storage
iii) Risk Management
- Work in line with the restaurant’s risk aversion program
- Assist in health and hygiene audits as well as safety checks
iv) Other Roles and Responsibilities
- Any other duties, roles and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Assistant Manager / Operations Manager
