As they recognize the importance and the impact that they can make on the ESG front, they are currently looking to hire a passionate and knowledgeable legal counsel, with expertise in the Sustainability space. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal counsel who is keen to make a direct impact on the ESG front.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the General Counsel for APAC, you will be the subject matter expert for all ESG related matters from a legal perspective. You will assist to draft and review contracts to ensure that it is aligned with the organization's global ESG policies.
You will be part of the think tank working closely together with the organization's Sustainability department to create policies that are aligned with regulatory requirements, as well as the organization's mission. You will also take an active approach to implement the policies, and to foster a culture of sustainability awareness within the organization.
On an adhoc basis, you will partner with external counsels to address any sustainability/ESG issues as it arises in the APAC region.
Requirements
You should be a qualified lawyer with a law degree from a reputable university. Prior experience and knowledge in handling sustainability / ESG matters will be required for this role. You should enjoy working in a fast paced environment and also have the ability to independently manage senior stakeholders.
