POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will report to the Regional Sales & Marketing Director. You will work closely with the Sales and Purchasing team to understand their needs and develop solutions that can help to improve their ability to manage and execute sales processes and customer interactions.
SPECIFIC MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Analyse and make recommendations for changes in pricing strategy and markups toward customers, considering both internal and external (market driven) metrics.
· Identify specific categories or items that are challenging us on margins or win rate, and make suggestions on how to improve.
· Analyse customer spending patterns and recurrence of requests to identify areas we can optimize the assortments we are offering to customers.
· Stay up-to-date on global best practices on commercial processes, and make recommendations for how we can take advantage of this in the local branch using IT systems.
· Become and in-house ‘centre of excellence’ for commercial best-practices.
· Lead and manage optimization projects as required.
· Complete ad-hoc data analysis work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Preferably, you have an educational background in a related business field, with at least 5 years of experience. Moreover, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
· Strong sense of curiosity, business acumen, internal drive to succeed and communication skills.
· A very logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
· Experience working with process optimization projects.
· Matrix leadership – or project management – experience.
· In-depth experience as a super-user of PowerBI or other BI tools.
· Knowledge and experience with analytics tools to manipulate large data sets.
