Amazon Books is seeking a Sr. Marketing Manager, who will own eBooks demand generation activities for the Australia and India marketplaces. This role will be part of the Established Light Books demand team within the WW Books demand team, and will work in close partnership with the WW Books team in US and EU to execute best-in-class, scalable marketing campaigns and programs in these marketplaces. The Sr. Marketing Manager will have an opportunity to own the end-to-end demand generation funnel, act as the ultimate custodian of customer experience across marketing channels, and contribute to strategic initiatives across marketplaces on running the store. This role will involve regular communication with senior leadership, both through regular review mechanisms and on standalone projects.

The ideal candidate will be able to exercise the analytical and creative sides of marketing, can operate independently even in ambiguous cases, and is comfortable managing relationships with multiple, diverse stakeholders and earn their trust. To be successful, the candidate should be able to influence priorities across multiple stakeholder teams, and be comfortable operating across a wide breadth of marketing topics. This role is suited for candidates with prior experience in marketing roles, preferably with online or digital businesses. Experience with basic HTML, XML and Excel, and the ability to build expertise in in-house tools quickly will be necessary.

Key job responsibilities
1. Be a passionate advocate for customer experience, maintain a thorough and intuitive user experience across the store
2. Partner with program teams in US and EU to execute, inspect and improve the performance of the store, while holding the responsibility to deliver on growth goals for the marketplaces.
3. Represent the category with partner teams and in central marketplace forums, and advocate for the category's priorities


Basic qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • 6+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Master's degree in marketing, or MBA
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    4. Partner with the global Books teams (product, marketing, GTM) to launch new features, experiences and programs in the marketplace
    5. Identify customer needs and opportunities through analysis of trends and data, and create solutions that address them
