Our client is a Global Manufacturing MNC, one of the leading players in the Oil & Gas servicing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Production Supervisor (Welding) to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance to company HS&E policies and procedures.
- Uphold the 6S Lean in all workshop and storage areas consistently.
- Provide daily guidance and oversight to the team.
- Monitor and lead initiatives aimed at implementing LEAN practices to enhance Fabrication operational efficiencies.
- Inspect all Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) before commencing work and address any concerns with welders and fitters promptly.
- Ensure the welding procedures are compliance with the applicable industry codes and standards.
- Scrutinize technical drawings and ensure the effective resolution of production issues by the relevant departments.
- Take part in the technical audits of third-party, subcontracted, and fabrication contractors.
- Investigate and take corrective action on Fabrication NCRs to implement measures aligned with agreed-upon quality KPIs.
- Ensure the calibration of all inspection equipment, which including welding equipment.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of welding consumables and oversee it is proper storage in controlled environments.
- All other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience
- Familiar with fabrication codes and standards
- Certified in Welding and Metallurgy Inspection- API 650 would be advantageous.
