JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Responsible for Commissioning Mechanical scope in the project and for the assurance and supervisión of specifications fulfillment in HSE, QA/QC, Planning, Scheduling and Cost of the project.
  • Manage commissioning and Mechanical activities in accordance to project scope through periodic meetings depending on project progress. This management will be transferred to an activities program leading to handover the plant based in operating systems and fulfilling general project schedule.
  • Preparation of commissioning and process activity list during the early home office phase.
  • Support the home office works developed by the home office specialists, including systematization, HAZOPs, screenings, preservation matrix…
  • Development of mechanical commissioning general procedures of the project in the home office phase.
  • Support the development of the Vendor Assistance Matrix for the project with the discipline section leaders.
  • Accept the operating systems from Construction in accordance to the specified in precommissioning procedures prepared during home office phase. In this way it is assured to the Client that all the requirements agreed during home office phase are fulfill.
  • Report commissioning activities progress.
  • Request, time enough in advance, the technical assistance of vendors and specialists and follow up their job in order to assure that it is performed in accordance with contractual conditions and in the shorter time as possible.
  • Attend coordination meetings with subcontractors and vendors and coordinate activities related to Mechanical Commissioning.
  • Follow up and approval for precommissioning activities executed by test and reinstatement team belonging to Construction phase.
  • Execution of mechanical commissioning procedures, processes, implementing the activities described on them.
  • Manage preservation activities in accordance to project scope through periodic meetings depending on project progress. This management will be transferred to an activities program leading to preserve the plant elements and fulfilling general project schedule
  • Responsible for preservation scope in the project and for the assurance and supervision of specifications fulfillment in HSE, QA/QC, Planning, Scheduling and Cost of the project
  • Responsible of ensuring that equipment and systems´ elements are kept preserved during every phase of the project from arrival to site until Client handover.
  • Following the specific Preservation Plan for the project.
  • Develop Preservation program with inspection points and activities.
  • Knowledge of the vendors’ procedures and requirements, and Client specifications.
  • Support HCS population.
  • Hold meetings with Logistic and Materials department to be aware of the shipments of every material and equipment
  • Manage and supervise subcontractor and/or vendor personnel performing preservation activities according to the Vendor-TR schedule and Preservation program.
  • Instruct to subcontractor for specific preservation activities or corrective activities.
  • Communicate to Material and Quality departments any damage on materials, following up the process of any OSD or NCR resolution, when required.
  • Perform surveillances and reporting any lack of preservation, or bad practice found about storage and handle any material of the project.
  • Manage of punch list related lack of preservation or material damage and coordinate subcontractor and other disciplines to close these punches.
  • Record all the preservation documents (log sheets,surveillance and vendors reports, reparation procedures and reports), sign by subcontract, Client and Vendor (if required) and actualization in the HCS.
  • Coordinate the preservation activities for the subcontracts and control for performed properly according to TR and Vendor standards.
  • Attend contractors HSE Toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Responsible of the implementation and compliance of the Company procedures and programs in the worksite under his responsibility, especially those ones in relation with HSE like POP and LOTO.
  • Full knowledge about the corporate discipline tools, procedures and its application to control the daily work.
  • Identify and report LLAA to the superintendent during the project execution.
  • Responsible of the materials, tools, consumables, and lubricants for preservation activities. Monitoring stocks, identifying the proper methods of material handling, site storage and preservation directed to prevent damages or deterioration.
  • Alert to Lead of discipline about lack of preservation of material, losses or damages that requires and immediate action from other departments (Procurement / Subcontract / Quality departments).
  • Coordinate with Construction / Commissioning Manager (depending of the project step) and their different disciplines leads (electrical, instrumentation, mechanical) preservation activities and construction / commissioning activities: supporting them when required, attending meetings, performing lubrication prior testing machine, de-preservation and re-preservation when required, etc.
  • Send the preservation reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in onshore Oil&Gas projects construction sites
  • Past experience with preservation of materials for Oil&Gas construction as well as in commissioning department
  • Having held Senior Engineer/Superintendent/Manager level position in a contractor company with client communication experience
  • Good understanding of HSE, Quality, Planning, Scheduling and Cost aspects
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer literate on Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint

DURATION

  • 60 hours per week
  • 1 year contract, renewable
