Overall Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining science laboratories and equipment.
- Carrying out safety checks on equipment, e.g. Bunsen tubing etc
- Carry out risk assessments for technical activities
- Disposing of waste materials
- Collecting apparatus and chemicals from storage
- Preparing experiments, necessary solutions, setting up apparatus and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons as requested by teaching staff
- Liaising with staff over use of equipment and stock
- Taking stock of chemicals, consumables, stationery, books and breakable items and advise replacement needs
- Purchase of sundries from local supermarkets
- Other duties as assigned by reporting manager
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Applied Chemistry are preferred. Candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Minimum two (2) year experience in international school environment preferably handling science laboratory functions.
- Must have strong understanding, knowledge and experience of IGCSE and IB DP curriculum.
