The Manager of Sales directs all markets including contracted, directed or online in both corporate and leisure segments. All sales activities should be managed to maximise revenue for the company.
He/She is required to research and deliver strategic sales/business plans,
monthly reports, annual targets, budgets, forecasts or other projects.
He/She has to analyse the competition, market trends, guest needs and performance in order to be pro-active and adapt to a changing market landscape. With the information, he/she is able to create new sales plans to improve efficiency of the current ones.
He/She also needs to Use principles of revenue managementand work together with the revenue department. Internally, he/she handles the training and performance reviews for the sales team.
