Volt14 Solutions is a venture-backed battery technology startup commercializing breakthrough high-performance anode materials. Volt14 is an alumnus of the deep-tech accelerator Entrepreneur First and is a member of the Singapore Battery Consortium.
This role is an opportunity for trained chemical engineers to work on the commercialisation of next-generation lithium ion battery chemistry alongside a highly experienced team.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Volt14 R&D team for the development of next generation, cutting edge silicon-rich anode lithium ion battery technologies.
- Extensively perform hands-on, wet-laboratory experimentation and glovebox operations while implementing laboratory best practices.
- Analyze with a “fundamentals-first” mindset anode/cathode preparation steps, material properties and electrochemical performance (cycling, CV curves, EIS, GITT, etc). Utilize observations to propose experimental plans to achieve target outcomes on a time sensitive basis.
- Develop and utilize physical/mathematical models based on engineering first principles linking observed materials / electrodes / battery cells behavior to generate actionable insights.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters in Chemical Engineering. Prior relevant industry experience is a big plus.
- Should be a proactive self-starter, capable of working under minimal supervision and be highly comfortable in working in a start-up environment with a bias for action.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Compensation will be commensurate with skills and experience. This role is open to only candidates presently located in Singapore and can start at short notice upon receiving an offer.
