Key Responsibilities and role(s)
Total responsibility for the operation of the vessel, including but not limited to:
· Crew selection, performance management and wellbeing.
· Vessel complies with the Company's policies, KPIs, processes and procedures, including Risk Assessments.
· Vessel remains acceptable by charterers, oil majors and Class/Statutory requirements at all times.
· Ensure that the vessel’s operation is carried out according to the respective Management Agreements and to customers’ satisfaction.
· Prepare operating budget for the vessel and follow up deviation.
· Coordinate all matters related to insurance claims.
· Effectively manage vessel funding to limit OSM exposure.
· Keep Fleet Manager informed of all relevant matters concerning the vessel’s operation.
Required Competencies
· Chief Engineer with sailing experience on car carrier would be an added advantage
· At least 5 years in similiar role
