About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled EPIC Systems security coordinator to join our Global Transformation Company. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of the EPIC Systems and data. With your expertise in security protocols and procedures, you will help protect sensitive patient information and maintain the highest level of data privacy.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of EPIC Systems security, including monitoring user access, addressing security incidents, and implementing security measures.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to EPIC Systems and data.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate preventive measures.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify any security gaps or violations, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Train employees on security protocols and best practices to ensure compliance and a culture of security awareness.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in security technology, and make recommendations for enhancements to EPIC Systems security framework.
- Serve as the main point of contact for any security-related incidents or breaches, and lead incident response activities to mitigate risks and minimize impact.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPIC Systems security or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of EPIC Systems and familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies.
- Proficiency in conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to effectively address and resolve security incidents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex security concepts to non-technical staff.
