Responsibilities:
- Collect and manage modeling requirements from the Product Development team and Systems Architecture team.
- Generate 3D models and drawings of products, systems, and overall building layout using Solidworks, Autodesk Revit platforms, and integrate them within the BIM environment.
- Evaluate MCAD and BIM-based product designs to ensure completeness, integrity, and interface definition.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (Vendors, A/E, TPMs, TLs) to facilitate the conversion of LOD400 MCAD models to LOD300 Revit RFAs.
- Assess model-based designs for progress and compliance with quality and use-case objectives.
- Support the utilization of the BIM-DEX model translation tool to convert MCAD data for REVIT usage.
- Create and maintain design documentation such as Drawings, Bill of Material, and manuals, ensuring proper revision control.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (TPMs, TLs) to evaluate and document vendor design deliverables, integrity, quality, and status. Track model creation, coordination, and quality against deliverable dates and identify schedule risks for escalation to TPM.
- Aid in the development of configurable interface models in BIM/REVIT format based on MCAD product designs, guaranteeing design integrity and traceability to predecessor files in other software.
- Conduct design integration meetings, workshops, and model walk-throughs.
- Facilitate the distribution and utilization of product catalogs in 3D BIM and MCAD formats.
