Finance Manager / Assistant Manager

The Person will support and assist the Senior Finance Manager in overseeing and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with all regulatory requirements and smooth operational efficiency for both the Fund entities and Manager entities.

Responsibilities

Fund entities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting and finance matters on funds covering the full life cycle from subscription to redemption.
• Keep track of all fund payments and expenses to ensure formal approval and execution of all payments.
• Monitor and review management accounts for funds prepared by external fund administrators.
• Liaise with fund directors, auditors and tax advisors on fund related matters.
• Liaise with external service providers (i.e. fund administrators, operating partners, legal and tax advisers) to ensure smooth fund operation;
• Support investor relations/investment team on fund finance related matters.

Manager entities:

• Responsible for statutory and tax reporting for legal entities.
• Oversee the monthly closing of accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness of supporting schedules.
• Responsible for all MAS quarterly and annual reports and submission.
• Liaise with external service providers (i.e. auditors, bankers, corporate secretary and tax advisers).
• Review and approve Tax and GST returns prepared on a timely basis.
• Support senior management on any ad-hoc projects and assignments.

Requirements

• CPA, ACCA, or other relevant certification is an advantage
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or relevant discipline.
• At least 2-5 years of working experience, including experience in asset management or fund administration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines.
