Job Responsibilities:
Workplace Safety Management
- Assist WSHO to maintain & update the SHMS
- Coordinate with sub-cons’ WSHC/Safety Supervisors on EHS issues
- Assist WSHO to review RA & SWP
- Carry out daily inspection to ensure all works are carried out in a safe manner through the elimination of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions on site
- Assist WSHO for EHS promotion and training to all workers & colleagues for greater awareness & culture.
- Carry out inspection, examining machinery and equipment, level of noise, heat, or harmful or hazardous substances in the workplace.
- To assume the role of safety assessor in the Permit-to-work (PTW) system
- Assist to conduct regular Toolbox meetings with an emphasis on safety aspects
- Ensure full compliance to all statutory safety requirements such as those pertaining to work platforms, gondolas, scaffolds, and the maintenance and certification of all machinery and equipment on site
- To maintain all safety documentation and records on-site
- Conduct In–house training
- Assist in Investigation, handle, report, and liaise with relevant parties for accidents or EHS non-compliance.
- To lead safety workers to rectify all unsafe condition
Technical Understanding
- Understands the Workplace Safety & Health Act & other regulatory requirements
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years working experience in the building construction industry
- Registered as WSH Officer with MOM
- Familiar with WSH Act and regulatory requirements
- Preferred with MRT and LTA project experience
