about the job
- Responsibility for all project phases (start-up, planning, design, implementation, installation, commissioning and handover)
- Perform required engineering calculations, design reviews and verifications
- Practical experience on installation, testing and commissioning work for medium voltage and/or low voltage switchgear and transformers (design and / or delivery)
- Monitoring & control of the project, including necessary interventions, to ensure achievement of delivery milestones, timelines & quality within the project budget
- Prepare requisition for order, review supplier and make technical bid evaluation
- Amend factory wiring drawings to suit project requirements
- Check electrical calculations
- Prepare cable schedules and termination diagrams
skills & experience required
- Bachelor Degree / Diploma in electrical engineering
- Understand code of practice on Electrical & Automation systems
- Min 5 years in electrical systems projects (commercial building, industrial buildings, electrical utilities, mining or electrical infrastructure markets. etc)
- Hands on with installation , T&C for switchgears & transformers
- 22KV/11kV/6.6KV/400V MV and LV Switchgear experience will be a big plus
- Competent in reading / understanding construction drawings (electrical & mechanical)
- Good Technical knowledge in medium / low voltage switchgears & transformers
