Job Description: Cybersecurity Consultant
As a Cybersecurity Consultant, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and information systems against cyber threats and attacks. You will collaborate with various teams to identify vulnerabilities, develop robust security measures, and provide expert guidance to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our sensitive data. Your in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity practices and technologies will contribute to maintaining a secure and compliant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of our organization's IT infrastructure and systems to identify security vulnerabilities and risks.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate potential threats.
- Perform regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify and address weaknesses.
- Monitor security systems and tools to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into all stages of the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on security best practices, encryption protocols, access control, and authentication mechanisms.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness.
- Participate in incident response and recovery efforts, including forensic analysis and documentation.
- Delivery of security professional services and training services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) working in cybersecurity roles, such as security analyst, penetration tester, or similar positions.
- Must have OSCP certification , Advance Certificate in Learning and Performance Prefered
- In-depth knowledge of network security, encryption methods, authentication protocols, and firewall technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards.
- Proficiency in using security tools and technologies, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, antivirus software, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security is a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automating security tasks is advantageous.
- Strong ethical mindset and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
