Job Description
As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Review and guide the architecture of internal and external projects to ensure the architecture meets the GCC requirements, IM8 policies, and AIAS requirements;
- Work with and coach teams in GCC architecture design patterns
- Defining, designing, implementing, and operating components of cloud computing architecture
- Identifying and resolving the highest level of escalated cloud technical issues, and leading processes for backup recovery
- Working with stakeholders to develop solutions and identify opportunities
- Lead deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, internal and external architects, IT managers, and developers
- Collaborating with a tech team of application developers, engineers, and designers to deliver innovative cost-effective technology solutions using cloud services
- Collecting and defining technical requirements to enable business processes and integrations
- Establishing an approximate level of effort and staffing requirements for complex cloud projects
The Successful Applicant
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience in enterprise-level cloud solution design and implementation.
- Cloud Expertise: Proficient in designing and implementing GCC solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP) for government agencies, ensuring alignment with government agency Enterprise Architecture.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with IM8, Application Infrastructure Architecture Standard (AIAS), and cloud security and compliance requirements.
- DevOps Proficiency: Hands-on experience with DevOps/DevSecOps using SHIP (Secure Hybrid Integration Pipeline) and HATS (Hive Agile Testing Solutions) CI/CD tools.
- IT Background: Extensive IT domain experience, encompassing public cloud architecture and hybrid applications spanning both cloud and data center environments.
- Migration Experience: Track record of successfully migrating large-scale applications to GCC environments.
- Container and Microservices: Proficient in containers, micro-services, and Kubernetes, with practical hands-on experience in these areas.
